'Nightmare on Elm Street' Remake Filming by Summer of '09
All summer while Platinum Dunes was out promoting their remake of Friday The 13th, word spread like wildfire that they had yet to be brought on to produce New Line Cinema's remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street. SpookyDan just got off the phone with Dunes Producer Brad Fuller who explains that they are now finally involved. " We Are doing the movie," Fuller tells Bloody-Disgusting. "We just closed the studio deal and we want to be filming by summer 2009. The script is being worked on now. We just came onto it so we are still figuring out what to do with the story." Wesley Strick is currently writing the screenplay that centers on Freddy Krueger, a serial child killer murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burnt face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams.
